About the Photographer
Hi my name is Carolyn
Schaner and I am a college student currently entering my fifth year at
Michigan State University and am pursuing a degree in Psychology.
I have always had a passion for photography and have spent a lot of
time taking pictures. I had never seriously considered photography as a
career though until my senior year of high school when my art teacher
sold some work for me.
After several years of dabbling with photography and focusing on
school, golf, and now rowing, I came back to the art with a renewed
passion. During a family trip to Cleveland, and several hundred photos
later I started to rethink my current career path. With the help of my
parents I put together a portfolio and began a Facebook page to share
my work. My parents showed my work to coworkers who showed their
interest in buying prints and hiring me for various jobs. And so this
is how I have gotten to where I am now. Besides photography I enjoy
playing golf, rowing, kayaking, snowboarding, working out, playing
violin, spending time outdoors and anything on water.
